Pemvidutide

Pemvidutide is an investigational dual-agonist peptide designed to modulate metabolic pathways through balanced activation of GLP-1 and glucagon receptors.

Mechanism of Action

Pemvidutide functions as a unimolecular dual agonist that activates both the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) and the glucagon receptor (GCGR). By mimicking the dual-incretin activity of the endogenous hormone oxyntomodulin, it combines the anorectic and glycemic-regulating effects of GLP-1R agonism with the lipolytic and energy-expenditure-promoting effects of GCGR activation.
